It's a stoner's delight as growers and their candidates for the best marijuana (hashish too) in the world gather in Amsterdam in 2002 for the 15th Cannabis Cup, sponsored by (who else) High Times magazine. Here you'll find TV takeoffs ("Highwitness News," the Survivor-esque "Cannabis Castaways"), some political harangues, quite a bit of music (including a performance by Marty Balin and Starship), plenty of loving close-ups of perfect pot buds, and of course lots of people smoking copious amounts of herb and acting like potatoes. At 102 minutes long, the whole thing moves about as briskly as someone who just polished off a full bongload of "Sacred Haze" or "White Smurf." Must have been a laugh a minute for all the ganja gladiators involved--but in the absence of Smell-o-vision (or maybe something else?), for those of us watching at home, well, guess you had to be there. --Sam Graham
