Diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, David Haller has always had trouble living a normal life. In and out of institutions for years, it seems like he finally has a handle on the voices in his head. Protected by the routine of therapy and spending time with his best friend, he's just started to feel normal when he meets Syd, a new patient at the same institution.
